We're In!

Goodbye old house....

I always cry when we move, even if I don't like the place. There are quite a few benefits of this new house, but I really did enjoy this home. I said goodbye this afternoon.

Hello new house! (please excuse the mess, not everything is in it's place yet!)

Entry way, downstairs "loo" on the right, living room on the left, kitchen/dining room ahead on the left....

Gotta love that cabinet space! And huge window overlooking the garden!

Dining room at the other end of the kitchen...

Up the stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom...

Not a big fan of the red/burnt orange carpet, but we are renting and there is nothing we can do about it.

I've never liked this hallway window, but it is the Welsh flag and our landlord is "very Welsh" as we say. :) This not so little dragon shines nice and bright when the sun comes up. Ugh.

Cerys' room- quite a bit smaller, but she likes it.

Bailey's room- which was Cerys' room when she came from the hospital! It's a small room.

This is our bedroom, a bit smaller than next door. There is barely enough room at the foot of the bed to open our wardrobes. :)

Marc's office, a VERY small room.

Sorry, no pics of the bathroom. It has separate tub and a shower cubicle and a cool window that deserves a post of it's own. More on that later.

The view from the garage- we love this conservatory on the back. We had the doors open all day today and the girls just ran around, it was lovely. We have our tumble dryer in there (kitchens usually come with a washer, but no dryer...that's what an outside line or radiator is for) and I'm not sure what else will go in there, probably our shoes!

And see, it is really just next door- the white house on the right is the one we just moved out of. :)

Well, I love the pictures of BOTH houses, so I can certainly see why your heart was sad to leave the old and go to the new which was really the old AND why you wanted to return to the old which is now the new and leave the old which used to be the new.

There - - - - go all that?

I love that little room on the back of the house, and it looks like you have great backyard! Do you have access to a tension rod? Maybe your next amazing sewing project could be a cute little curtain to hang over Mr. Dragon!

I always cry when we move too, I think because we're leaving a home that is full of memories and comfort.

I pray that your new home will be a place of peace and comfort and laughter and love.

It's super cute too, by the way!

I've decided small bedrooms are workable when you have a nice open living room and kitchen/dining room. After all that's where most of us really do our living. = ) It looks great. Especially the kitchen!

I know that after you have unpacked and put up your beautiful decorations, you are going to love being back in your first home where Cerys started her adventurous journey of life. It will soon feel as though you never left and just the downstairs loo alone makes the smaller bedrooms worth it!! The girls are going to LOVE the conservatory and Marc needs his private office space. And even the upstairs loo is larger than next door. I am so excited you guys have moved back in even though next door was precious too.
Love you all,
Mom

Wow - you've been a busy family these last few days! I'm impressed with the amount of stuff you've been able to get done, and put away! Won't be long before it truly feels like home I'm sure!

Have a great week, Charity!

The only thing I like better about the house you just left is the cute red door :( - I love that door!
I also liked your furniture but as you've taken that with you the new house will be just peachy :)
Conservatory will be lush for the girls - I remember hanging out in that holding Cerys when we came over for a bbq x

Congrats on getting moved in! I'm sure that was an undertaking. Part of me won't admit I'll be doing that soon...semi-cross-country, and wishing it could be next door. But part of me is ready to go - bring on the boxes & packing tape! :) God bless y'all in your new place as you make new memories and remember old ones.

I would galdly surrender bedroom space for a larger kitchen. Love it!
