It does not get much more exciting than this y'all....a bathroom window.
When the window is closed, the handle is pointed down. If you turn the handle half-way, it tilts open like this to let air in...
If you rotate the handle all the way up, the whole window opens...
It is damp here in this country so it's nice to be able to tilt that window open while taking a shower so the bathroom does not get all wet and soggy.
And I think that is pretty cool.
And while we are talking about windows, I whipped up a little black curtain that covers our dragon window in the hallway and Marc has agreed to put it up every night. I asked him if he realized that was a big commitment- every night for however long we lived here and it means climbing part of the stairs since it's not easy to reach and he said he was up to it. So, I sewed it together and it hangs on a tension rod to cover up Mr. Dragon...not only does he shine bright in the mornings, but there is a street light right outside and it is lit up at night and it shines right on my face- our bedroom is directly across from the window. It apparently does not bother Marc since he's on the other side of the bed but I just could not cope with seeing that all night. So, we have solved our problem. I sewed the curtain and he committed to hanging it every night for me. :) He's good like that. :)

That bathroom window is very cool - - - very European, oh wait - - - you ARE in Europe!!!
Somehow I thought the curtain would cover Mr. Dragon ALL the time.
Yay for curtains and tension rods! I'm glad it worked out, and I'm so impressed that you've already moved onto decorating. Awesome!
That is a super cool window! However, I am so confused as to what is actually holding it up! It comes off all sides! Baffling! If we were ever able to come visit you, I think I would definitely have to spend some time playing around with the phenomenon window!
It sounds like y'all are getting settled in. We're so glad. Give the girls a hug for us.
We love you,
Mimi and Gan-Gan
I was going to comment but I've changed my mind... you crazy lady!
I would miss your old red door too. I just love red doors! They're so welcoming. I'm glad you found a fix for the dragon window.
why not just leave the curtain up? Did I miss something?
Very cool bathroom window by the way. =)
Well, I could make some self-righteous comment about how when you cover the dragon you are not embracing your adopted culture, but...who wants to embrace a dragon shining in your face?! ;) Good idea about the black curtains!!!
