Sometime ago we used the phrase "Happy Heart" with Cerys- meaning that we need to have a good attitude and be obedient. I've heard her tell her baby dolls that they need to find their happy heart many times.
We've had few rough days of talking back, tantrums (Lord, have mercy!) and overall stinky attitude from her. I sent her to her room to sit on her bed yesterday till she could calm down and after I went in there to speak to her, I sat on her bed and pulled her into my lap and before I could say anything she says....
"I lost my happy heart mommy, but I said 'happy heart come back' (looking around her room as if it was in there) and it came back, now I'm happy!"
And we both fell over laughing.

That's a sweet story! I'm looking forward to the days of talking back. I think Melissa and I will butt heads.
Oh, I LOVE it!!!! Hysterical!
Purely precious!!!
Awwww, that's so sweet! Good for you for putting that on her level!
Just absolutly precious!! I'm glad her happy heart is back. I can just see her face!!
Mom/Gigi
I guess the move must be weird for her.
You have to stop fretting - it's going to be fun!
We are praying that things will go smoothly over the next few days. I'm sure they will. Sorry we are on holiday and can't be there to help.
Oh bless xxx
How sweet! I love it. :)
Don't you love it when they *figure it out* on their own? That's awesome!
How precious! I hope I remember that phrase for G.
And I must say I totally understand the What if world syndrome. I promise Greg and I had that conversation just a day ago.
Oh, I just love that! Y'all are doing a good job with her.
We do that too, but we call it "sweet spirit." If a kid is being rotten, we send them to their room and tell them they can't come out til they've found their sweet spirit.
One day Isaac went up there and came back after waking up from a nap. We said "did you find your sweet spirit?"
He said, "Yep, it was under the covers."
