Ok, so here it is! I finished my "quirky poncho" (at least that is what the pattern called it!). It's a chunky knit in basket weave stitch. I even made the tassels to go on it too! It's not quite what I had envisioned, but not bad for my first big knitting project! It's a bit longer in the back than I was thinking it would be, so I'm not too sure about it, but oh well. So, please don't laugh, but you can scroll down to see me wearing it. Please excuse the gray t-shirt, blue jogging trousers and hair in ponytail! :) It's just one of those days! (Shall I mention that it's been pouring down rain, the sideways, blowing all over the place kind of rain most of the day?!?)

And now I'm totally embarrassed.

I'm impressed with your knitting skills!
I think it looks good. You did a good job better than what I would have done! Hope to see you in a couple of weeks. Melissa and I like to go to WillowBend Mall!
Didn't Jessica Simpson wear one like that on "Newlyweds" all the time? You look just like her in it! ;o) I'm very impressed, I don't know one end of knitting needles from the other x
Adele, well I hardly look her, but you are funny! ;)
well if its been that kind of weather all day then that poncho looks like the perfect thing to wear. all snuggly up like kate winslet in her little cottage in the holiday
Why?? Don't be embarassed! It's lovely! I am so impressed with your gift of knitting! I'd have to use 8 needles to produce something like that. Ha.
And I also wouldn't mind it being a little bit long in the back, you know, to partly cover my "bum". =) (Did I say that right?)
Well done Leah on the "bum"...you got it right!
I think it looks great. Course it could just be the blue jogging pants set it off to perfection. = ) Totally teasing! = )
I think it looks wonderful!!
Have a wonderful time with your family!
Charity, I love reading your blog and keeping up with your family. So sweet! I do hope to see you, maybe on Sunday. Y'all have a safe trip and prayers to you for the plane ride.
Sally
I'm so impressed! I wish you could pop over and teach me how to knit. I've been wanting to learn.
Well, y'all are all very sweet for telling me you like my poncho! I had a fun time working on it, though it seemed to take weeks to finish. My friend and colleague helped me sew it up and sew the tassels on it, so she was a big help!
Sally, I hope we will see you at church one of the Sunday's we are there!
Easter Journey- I don't think I could teach anyone to knit, I barely know myself, but I would love to come visit!!! :)
Very cute! And impressive too.
