As we drove home from school (It was really cold today so I drove!) the girls were telling me all about this holiday. They actually taught me something I didn't know! Cerys said they watched a film about it and as I quizzed her on it, she knew quite a bit. I was impressed with her listening skills. I was careful what I said. I gently was able to tell her that yes that is what is believed but that we believe in The One True God and his son Jesus. I explained the freedom that we have in Christ- freedom to pray anywhere and anytime. Inside I was just pleading with God for the right words to say and praying that the girls would love Jesus. That is my main prayer for our girls. Cerys then says, "Mummy, that is right, we can pray anywhere, just like today when I prayed on the playground for a girl who got hurt." I am so proud of her. Then she says, "We don't believe in Eid, but it's good to learn about it isn't Mummy?"
Yes, honey, it's good to learn. Thank you for teaching me that today!

What a peek into the life you guys are living!
So tough! You did a great job talking them through it.
So sweet is your daughters tender heart.
Oh Mummy!! What a sweet girl you have!! all of your girls.
There is no doubt in my mind that your sweet angels will love Jesus with all their hearts because their parents already do. Those 3 see you and Mark everyday love the Lord and trust Him. Those listening skills you were so impressed with are also used on you! (maybe even at times when you wish they wouldn't) ;-)
And yes it is still good to learn. ;-)
