I bought this kit at a craft store that had all the ribbon needed for making this purse- and I just finished it! It was fun to knit, and a challenge since I've only really done scarves and smaller things. I just finished sewing the lining in and thought I'd show you a pic! (Don't look too close if you ever see this in person- but it was fun to give it a go!)

It's kind of hard to tell the colors- but the ribbon is light pink, cream, tan and a greenish color.

I'm impressed! Knitting is something I've not taken up. Partly because I'm never sitting still long enough. But it looks like fun. Even more fun to have something useful to show for your time and effort.
Do you have another project picked out?
Hi there, Marc and Charity! I found your blog through Jeanetta Darley's. It was nice seeing you at Leslie's birthday party. It seems you are enjoying your time in Wales. I'm so glad there are blogs to keep track of what's up! Our baby girl is only a few months younger than Bailey! It is true they grow up fast.
Check out our blog when you get a chance www.blewise.blogspot.com
Maybe we can all get together again next time you're stateside.

Stephanie, I have a poncho I'm really wanting to make, but the yarn it calls for is super expensive, and I'm just not willing to spend $60 when I could buy several for that price :) So, I'm trying to find some alternate yarn or "wool" as they say here. :)
Julie! Great to hear from you girl! I'll check out your blog too! Congrats on Danielle, I remember you feeling very pregnant at Leslie's party! :) It does go fast!
Wow! I had no idea you were so crafty! I have always wanted to learn to knit but just never have gotten around to trying! I am very impressed!
I'm impressed with that purse. I would have a project like that flung up against the wall.
Cute! I didn't know knitting with ribbon was even possible!
Stephanie H- I'm really not that crafty, but this was fun!
Etta- I had no idea you could use this ribbony-tape stuff, it was fun!
Fun stuff, the question is who will use the bag more? You, Cerys, or Bales?
Have you been scrapping lately?
Nothing really to do with the blog, but my family tree runs through Wales. Nice to read something from the homeland.
Hey Charity,
Ok I have so been trying to teach myself to crochet!! Your purse has inspired me to keep trying. My mom is here this weekend for a craft show..maybe I will take my tools of the trade and get to help me..learning from a book is hard!!
You guys all look great and so glad you have enjoyed the summer.
