Of course!

Well, our crate arrived this afternoon. You know, the one we packed the first part of December with most of our belongings? I'll post more on that later. If you know Marc, then you know he eats Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches daily. Thus, the 2 pounds of smooth Peter Pan in our crate. We came across this bit of news a while back, read below!

CDC tracks peanut butter contamination

ATLANTA - Government scientists struggled Thursday to pinpoint the source of the first U.S. salmonella outbreak linked to peanut butter, the kid favorite packed into millions of lunchboxes every day.

Nearly 300 people in 39 states have fallen ill since August, and federal health investigators said they strongly suspect Peter Pan peanut butter and certain batches of Wal-Mart's Great Value
house brand — both manufactured by ConAgra Foods Inc.

Shoppers across the country were warned to throw out jars with a product codeon the lid beginning with "2111," which denotes the plant where it was made.

How the dangerous germ got into the peanut butter was a mystery. But because peanuts are usually heated to high, germ-killing temperatures during the manufacturing process, government and industry officials said the contamination may have been caused by dirty jars or equipment.

Wouldn't you know it! Our PB jars start with "2111," now don't that just beat all?!? So long Peter Pan, you will be missed.

Well, we've been meaning to write...and this looks like a good place to do it! Tad's going back to Italy this summer (the boys and I will not be joining him this time) and at the end of the trip he's doing a recital in London. So....he could bring a bunch of peanut butter if y'all can find a way to meet up! That's just depressing. There's really nothing more important than peanut butter when you're in another country.

What a bummer! We've adapted to Tesco's peant butter pretty well...which is good because Elam (our 6 yr. old) eats PB&J everyday for lunch. A friend from Dallas is coming to visit next week and mentioned that she's bringing a big thing of Jif -- heavenly!

Woo hoo! I'm sure the girls are loving their long lost toys! Peanut butter is on the way. We are sending some in the mail. There still isn't much in the stores but it's making a comeback.

So do y'all have UK PB in your neck of the woods? Heather mentioned that we get some from Tesco here. It will do, but not like home. Our friend across the street refuses to eat it.
